I enjoyed Zombieland :) The (spoiler!) wandering bandit sisters were a cool concept, using innocence and helplessness to get what they wanted :) Clever girls!

Thanks for telling me that THAT manga had become an anime! It's just as great as the manga -eliminating certain adult scenes-.

High School of the Dead was started in 2006. Hiatus up until 2008. Then again till 2009. Then another one last summer that lasted a month.

Now... I should tell you that High School of the Dead is a monthly manga, which means a new release per month. This manga had several hiatuses (stopped publishing) because of certain things about the authors (inner fights, requirements of a new writer, illnesses, and the worst of all laziness). As such it has only 28 chapters and 3 special chapters.

The current series covers the manga up until around chapter 16-18 more or less... Finding the manga is a bit of a workout as it is banned from many places because of it's excesive content of adult material (you get the idea). If you are interested in this anime you should check such manga every 3 months, as I have...

For a more elaborate description contact me directly... I shall not post the link to said manga as it contains mature content and Joe would probably ban me if I did so, considering the rules of these forums... There is no problem with PMing the link to it though... If I am erroneous and incorrect, please notify me!

If your looking for Zombies in a sorta Fantasy setting, I would have to say the books Sabriel, Liriel and Abhorsen by Garth Nix are excellent.
If you dont mind the mingless slaughter of the classics I would have to say that Pride Prejudice and Zombies is hillarous.
I highly recomend Gils All Fright Diner by A. Lee Martinez its kinda silly though.
Monster Island has inteligent Zombies
Day by Day Armagedon is well thought out and a good read
The Zombie Hiku is really fun to read and quote to people at random times
And I just stumbled apon this one Zombies Vs Unicorns(?) it sounds fun tell you more when I read it

For the comic scene there are a bunch I would recomend:
The Walking Dead, kinda depressing but well paced
Zombies calling, an odd sorta what if story
The Awakening, The art style is fantastic
on a light note The Goon is funny with sorta a 30's throwback feel lots of zed and big monsters
Sorry to ramble but I read alot

Huh? 20% is a bit harsh... It contains bits of porn, but it's around 40% porn, not 80%... Not that I particularly enjoy those certain scenes either, but let's face it... Japannesse love it that way...

I must say, I enjoyed high school of the dead, and the so called "porn" scenes were just couple of panties and extra jiggly boobs per episode(weird japanese fetishes), nothing that can't be ignored. it is a good solid production imo.

I can't take High School of the Dead seriously. Six teens acting more competent then an entire military and police force seemed ridiculous to me. In addition, I found that the zombies somehow went from slow stumblers to fast swarms in the anime. They were capable of running off screen, apparently, but every other instance had zombies stumbling slowly towards their prey. Plot hole?

And I'd rather not have constant reminders- yes, okay. I get it already. That chick has massive boobs and actually wears panties. Thank you for seeing the need to show me this again. And again. And. Again. There was even an instance of boob matrix during one of the episodes (a bullet went under one and over the other). Needless to say I was traumatized for life. I don't think I can ever take a woman with any sort of cleavage seriously now. (That was me being factitious. Its hard to communicate any sort of sarcasm over teh interwebz). I wanted to stop, but because my club is forced to share T-Shirt space with the Anime Club out of a lack of funds on my part, I'm forced to hold the occasional meetings there and play nice so we can pool our resources. I had hoped for something decent like Death Note or Cowboy Bebop, or even Astro Boy to be playing but one certain member for whom I hold a deep sense of hatred for was adamant about torturing me that day with either the choice of an anime about a young woman who searches for 100 "fuck buddies" or a softcore animated porno with a plot that was somewhat lacking.

Still, each to his own. As for "The Walking Dead", that show looks amazing. I stayed up to watch it and it was awesome on a spiritual level. I think my soul weeped as that (spoilers!)(spoilers!) (spoilers!) was torn apart by a horde of zombies.

Cracked.com has some good articles about zombies. Those guys have a tendency to over analyze things in a completely scientific way, so it could be cool to just get a scientific perspective on what could cause zombies, and how zombie apocalypses would logically work out. The two articles I will put a link up to are very contradictory, so you might be able to give some type of backstory on how the pocalypse came to it's current state, and try to incorporate some science into (ex. dormant disease spread by birds)

http://www.cracked.com/article_18683_7-scientific-reasons-zombie-outbreak-would-fail-quickly.html

Also I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the zombie survival guide or pride prejudice and zombies, those are classics

Someone else said: Now we're all sons of bitches"
