Come to think of it, the doctor said he'd be cured, but I don't think he guaranteed anything about him surviving the process.

1.)Doc has no no abilities, it's the power of diplomacy.
2.)

Zombies can't be cured, they're dead. Not that simple. So if your friend is bitten by a zombie, you amputate the arm pretty damn fast, because there will never be a vacine.
As a wise man once said, "You can't make an omelette without ruthlessly crushing dozens of eggs beneath your steel boot, and then publicly disemboweling the chickens that laid them as a warning to others."

1. Doc has a strong mind. Even the vampire elder admitted it. Who knows what else he can do?
2. Actually, I think what you mean is that if you cured a zombie you'd get a dead corpse.

It really depends on the type of zombie. If you take all the blood out of a zombie, you can't know if it will even die or stay animated unless you know the type of zombie, and even then it's a bit tricky.

I suspect experimentation on it later, though it may just be hopeful thinking.
It would be pretty cool if Joe detailed the Docs studies a bit more, but then again it might just be creepy...

Blood transfusion should not work. Like in 28 Days Later...

But creepy is good, it's a comic in a recovering post apocalyptic wasteland, with zombies, there should be something creepy.
Woof.
