I did vote for Bernie to follow Greybane. I just want to see a machine city.

I trust Bernie's inteligence. I know that the Author will think something clever about what to do with Greybane. If we believe whatever thing the comic has told us about machines, then any chance to rescue Greybane is lost. Then there is only hope. I don't see how a machine city would have more flaws in security than a tank machine, but if they are taking Greybane to a Lab with more living things then it would be very interesting (especially to Bernie) to see WHAT they are doing. Being nightime is very risky to follow the tank, but I don't suspect that anything would attack Bernie while he follows it since nothing follows a machine.

For the hope of all the New Hammerston community the lab should be days away in time travel, so i don't actually think Bernie would follow the tank. As a genius he is, he has to repair his base, slap Joe or reprogram his brain for being a dick and blow up Cross. And for the more humanitarian readers, yes he has to escort the survivors (i only hate bernie and joe for leaving that precious puppy behind).

PD: maybe he would find his dad?

No, constructive criticism is when you take events, themes, characters or general story arcs and talk about where you felt they fell down, or what you feel would help them improve. What American_Critic did was come up with an ENTIRELY NEW arc and describe exactly what he would have happen in general terms. He even created a new character. That isn't criticism.

So you are suggesting there is absolutely no constructive criticism whatsoever in American_Critic's post? Or are you upset AC dismantled your GPS idea so easily? AC did offer constructive criticism, he pointed out the obvious flaws of the GPS system you and several other people suggested. Rather admit you were wrong you found it easier to start name-calling.

There's no need to be rude to AC, it was just a suggestion. Calling him a backseat author because part of his post criticized your GPS idea was completely uncalled for.

American_Critic wrote:Well, I see a lot of people saying GPS, but a reminder is that which this is the Pocalypse, the careful machinery used to direct the orbital satilites are gone because no one was there to even check them (Death or forgetfulness) equaling them falling to Earth. Even so, the machines would have their own Gps system to track their "people" so it'll be detected and dismantled in SECONDS. But with the blood hound idea, it's possible for it doesn't involve Tech. But I would say, is Bernie apologise to the Survivors and give them "Out of this world" machinery to defend themselves with... And Rusty would be surprised with AWESOMENESS, and.... using it against the wall... Then, sliding to the Scene with Joe, he has a moment and we learn more about him, and scene. THEN what could happen, is when Bernie is following the "One man Army" base the mutants could launch an ambush by another mutant commander like Bug but can't speak and is missing a arm. Things go boom, bullets and missiles fly and Bernie comes to save the day, but the Robots have renforcements and a Ace in their hands. New Character development?

You note he didn't get at all snippy with me when I said basically the same thing? I think it was the not underlined portion he objected to, not the other part.

You are correct sir. That is the portion I was referring to. Further, I did not take American_Critic as disagreeing with me directly, as you'll note I simply suggested a tracking device, not a GPS one. That they would have developed a tracking method post-pocalypse, using GPS or whatever means available to them, is entirely likely, given their advanced technology. Moreover, I was not intentionally getting snippy with anyone. Merely commenting.

Happy Demon wrote:I get the feeling people doesn't understand what I'm said so let me clarify.

The vehicle has powerful armor and weapons and Bernie said he wouldn't stand a chance against it.
The vehicle isn't going to rest or expose a vulnerable spot on itself because that wouldn't serve any functional purpose.
The vehicle is most probably going towards a heavily fortified spot in order for the cargo to be transported via air to a lab of some sort where they can examine it.
The fortified spot is most probably more armored and outfitted with more weapons.

The survivors aren't in perfect fighting condition, one is wounded the other is a child and the third has a f***ing crossbow, say what you want but a crossbow fires one arrow and must be reloaded manually,
and if he misses then he's helpless, and the arrow isn't super powerful, it doesn't have an explosive tip or something like that.
The survivors have to walk quite a bit and the place has zombies in it, i doubt scrufflebeck is able to take on a horde of zombies alone, and again Rusty has a f***ing crossbow.
There is zompires near the area, and if they meet them and is not escorted by someone who has the means in which to combat them, they're screwed.
